Infinix has just reshaped the mobile market, literally. The brand officially launched the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, a jaw-droppingly sleek device that now holds the title of the world’s slimmest 3D-curved screen smartphone, clocking in at an astonishing 5.95mm thickness.
At first glance, the device seems like something out of science fiction. But the tech inside is very real, and very serious.
“We didn’t just make it slimmer, we made it stronger, smarter, and more stylish,” said Benjamin Jiang, Infinix’s Global Head of Product, during the launch event in Nairobi.
Design: Minimal Form, Maximum Impact
The Hot 60 Pro+ is not just slim, it is featherlight at 155g, yet tougher than previous models.
Built using aerospace-grade aluminum and a NanoFiber Backshield, the phone promises both beauty and brute strength.
According to Infinix engineers, the structure is 20% thinner but 1.4× more bend-resistant than earlier HOT series models.
Its 6.78-inch AMOLED curved display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, with brightness peaking at 4500 nits, making it ideal for Kenya’s sunny outdoors.
Camera: Slim Body, Sharp Eye
Despite its frame, the Hot 60 Pro+ doesn't compromise on visuals.
It houses a powerful 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, offering AI RAW processing, lossless 2× zoom, and full-pixel autofocus. Whether you are capturing Nairobi’s cityscape or a candlelit dinner, clarity is guaranteed.
Complementing the visuals are JBL-tuned dual stereo speakers, ensuring high-quality audio that punches above the device’s weight.
Battery: Thin but Tireless
A big surprise lies under the hood, a 5160mAh ultra-slim battery with 810 Wh/L energy density.
Infinix claims it can handle 1,800 charge cycles while retaining 80% capacity, a nod to users who hold onto phones for the long haul. And with 45W FastCharge, you will hit 50% in just 23 minutes, perfect for busy lifestyles.
AI Everywhere: Meet ‘Folax’
Built on Android 15 with XOS 15.1, the phone features Infinix’s new AI assistant ‘Folax’, designed for hands-free control, image editing, scheduling, and more. Users can even launch it with a dedicated AI Key.
Photo lovers will enjoy tools like AI Eraser, Vogue Portraits, and Image Extender, designed to elevate content creation for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
Cool Under Pressure: Smart Cooling, Serious Gaming
Gamers and streamers can relax knowing Infinix packed an 11-layer thermal management system with advanced graphite sheets, reducing chipset heat by 5°C and extending performance during long sessions.
Powering all of this is the MediaTek Helio G200, a 6nm octa-core chip fine-tuned for both performance and power efficiency. It’s more than enough muscle for most day-to-day needs and mid-tier gaming.
Kenya Rollout: Affordable luxury
Kenyan consumers are already responding with excitement. The 128GB/8GB RAM variant is priced at around Sh 21,999, while the 256GB model goes for Sh 24,999.
Pre-orders come with a free Infinix XWATCH N4 Pro, adding further value.
Retailers across the country have reported high interest, especially from students and young professionals looking for flagship-like features without flagship prices.
Style Meets Scent (Yes, Scent)
Infinix did not stop at visuals. Special editions of the Hot 60 Pro+ feature fragrance-infused leather backs, a world-first, making the device as much a fashion statement as a tech tool.
Color options include Coral Tides, Galaxy Ice, and the headline-stealing Scent Weave Leather, available in limited edition models.
The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ feels like a declaration: slim doesn’t mean small. It’s an ambitious phone aimed at ambitious users, with smart features, robust durability, and jaw-dropping style.
With this launch, Infinix not only redefines what a mid-range phone can be, it challenges the very concept of smartphone form factor.
“We’ve flattened limits to raise expectations,” Jiang concluded, as Nairobi’s skyline reflected off the curved glass of a device that may just be 2025’s most unexpected smartphone success story.
